What is the best way to remember all the piano scales?
I’m doing my piano exam soon, and lately I’ve been slacking off of the piano scales and hardly practicing. I really need to pass it so I can get an extra credit. But I’m terrible at the minors, and find it hard memorizing so many! What’s the best way to remember them all?
Sorry if this is in the wrong category!
I always done them by ear, so after playin them so much over time i learned which was which and i could guessitmate the nxt note b4 playin. The only answer to is pracice over and over and learn the formula of a minor scale.
Minor scale = Aeolin mode (same key signature of its relative major but starting on the 6th degree of the scale ex: E=6th degree of G maj scale therefore it has the same key signature of G major, 1 sharp)
So its better if u write out each major scale, find the 6th note and when u play ur minor scale remember ur key signature.
Major scales are cake u shouldnt have problems w/ that just keep practicing =)
